Joyful Sunset Summer Wedding with Family || Mt. Hood, Oregon

It never ceases to amaze me how the connections I make within this work can lead to friendships and the witnessing of major life events years down the road. 4 years ago while out in Portland visiting family, I photographed a beautiful mother and daughter(s) session, spending an sunlit evening with this sweet trio. Last weekend, I got to document their family expanding!

When Lacey and I first met years ago, we quickly clicked over a shared passion for portrait photography. In fact, her business just went official last weekend as she’s now a registered LLC herself! 4 years, a 6 hour flight and a 4 hour drive later, I finally got to photograph her again, this time as she married her sweetheart.

Set against the formidable Mt. Hood, decorated with home grown flowers, catered by their families, and featuring many sweet speeches from loved ones, their wedding day was full of beautiful and personal touches. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a couple cry so many happy tears, a testament to just how happy they were to have finally found each other.

It’s a great honor for another photographer to trust you to document their day, and I had an exceptional weekend on the West Coast capturing their joy!
