If there is any perk to planning and replanning a wedding several times, from across the country, over the course of three years, it’s that by the time their wedding day finally arrived, Amy and Bryce had created a wedding perfectly suited to them. From their focus on sustainability through local, eco-friendly florals to their use of the Stardust theme throughout their reception decor; their incorporation of hand fasting into their ceremony to their personally-designed trivia game for the reception, every detail and experience told a story about their relationship.

One of the best things about being a wedding photographer is getting to know couples well, and to watch them express their joy for life and love in many different ways. From their event design, their friends’ and families’ heartfelt toasts, and their vows to each other, I feel like I truly got to know Amy and Bryce, which is a pleasure all on its own.

Getting to celebrate these two among New Bern’s new spring blooms was the perfect way to spend a weekend, especially as we were able to sneak away for some casual photos around the stunning Tryon Palace before their rehearsal.
