Morgan + Mike || Wedding Album
I can't imagine there will ever be a day when I'm tired of creating wedding albums, but even if there is, today is not that day. Putting Morgan and Mike's heirloom album together reminded me of the importance of creating these lifelong keepsakes for my clients, so that generations down the road their family will be able to see not only what weddings were like "back in the day" but how in love their grandparents or great-grandparents were.
In putting together this album, my focus was to tell Morgan and Mike's story of excitement (particularly in their first look), personality (especially through the personal touches in their decor) and pure happiness at saying their forever vows surrounded by friends and family, even family from across the ocean. Because they did a first look (one of my favorite parts of the day!) we spent the first hour relaxing and taking couples portraits and group shots with their maid-of-honor and best man. We created so many great images that they take up the first third of the album! From there, as the ceremony was obviously the most important part of the day, I wanted to use the next third of the album to show each important vignette through spreads with only a couple photos each. For the last part of their album, I wanted to include as many of their guests as possible through both our posed family photos and candid shots throughout the reception.
For the cover, Morgan and Mike chose a simple but classy navy faux leather with silver foil stamping for their text. As I'm finishing up editing the last of my 5-weekend wedding stretch last month, I'm excited to start working on my next round of wedding albums!
