Magical October 20, 2018 Wedding at Mountain Magnolia Inn || Alicia + Dave

October in the mountains at a Victorian inn built in the 1800s: this wedding was already a recipe for magic. But when Emmaleigh and I arrived at Mountain Magnolia Inn to begin capturing Alicia and Dave’s day, we didn’t realize just how much magic we were in store for.

As we’ll break down each beautiful moment a little later on, I’ll sum it up in one story for now, that of Alicia and Dave’s first look. The day dawned dreary and gray, it was still raining when we arrived at the venue and started photographing. But just the moment that Alicia stepped outside of the garden house (where she’d been getting ready) to meet her groom, the sun burst from behind the clouds. Moments after this sweet couple first saw each other in all of their wedding finery, a song about sunshine began playing over the speakers. Though we later found out it was the DJ sound-checking for later, in the moment it sure sounded like the sky itself was playing music just for us.

It was an absolute honor to capture all of the love and thought Alicia, Dave and their friends and family put into their celebration. I can’t wait to share more!
