Freelance Photo and Video Work with National Restaurant Marketing Agency
My running portfolio from my ongoing partnership with a national comprehensive restaurant marketing agency. Each 4 hour annual session consists of a 17-dish menu photoshoot and a 60 second website banner video shoot. All content goes towards the agency’s custom-built websites, restaurant email newsletters, social media, and print branding.
High Contrast Colorful Food Photography
Every photoshoot includes a selection of interior and exterior location photo, simply-styled photos of individual menu items, group photos of a full table full of food, portraits of the owners or staff, and the option for in-action kitchen prep and cooking photography. All photographs are made using a 42” octabox and ambient light, with two LED panel lights as kickers as needed.
Story-Driven Videography Highlighting Customer Experience
Every video shoot includes a 60 second horizontal web banner video as the deliverable. Each video showcases the location (typically beginning with an aerial shot for location establishment), food prep and process, staff and restaurant personality, and customer experience. All videos may be clipped for social media use as well.

I have documented everything from Michelin-starred fine dining restaurants using open wood fires and at-table service, to soul food counters operating out of gas stations, and everything in between. Each video is personalized to tell the story of each restaurant, cafe, cocktail lounge, or eatery, and is centered around joyously sampling the customers experience. All videos are shot using a stabilizer, 60 or 120 frames for slow motion capability, and LED panel lighting. I have also conducted chef interviews to use as voiceover for these short form videos.
Photographs of a Wide Variety of Cuisine
I am very familiar with cuisines ranging from Latin American, South American, Asian, European, and all manner of fusion. All photographs are styled according to the restaurant’s sensibilities; sophisticated and more complex food styling for fine dining restaurants, simple and playful styling for fast casual establishments, etc. All photography collections are story-driven to match the restaurant’s brand. For up-and-coming restaurants without the proper styling equipment, I have a small collection of simple dishes and linens I keep on hand in order to avoid using to-go containers. I am comfortable photographing all cuisines and am conversational in Spanish.
