Adrian Etheridge Photography

I've been an artist for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I loved to do any and every craft from painting to sewing dolls' clothing to interior design (for my dollhouse.) My mom gave me an old film camera sometime around 5th grade thinking offhand that I might be interested in yet another art form and boy was she ever right. I purchased my own digital camera (since I didn't yet know the beauty of film) and began trying my hand at it, eventually winning a local photo contest in 6th grade. From there, I was hooked. In the fall of 2007, I traveled with my grandparents to Paris where I fell in love with visual storytelling through documenting my own adventures in a location new to me. I took up film photography in 10th grade (2008) where I discovered the true art of photography through learning the ins-and-outs of taking, developing and printing images by hand. I took my first job in photography (and actually my first real job!) shooting sports for UNC Asheville in 2012, then shot my first wedding that same year. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree from UNC Asheville in 2015 and went full time in my business that same year. Photography has been not only my chosen form of expression for over half my lifetime, but my way of learning about the world, of getting to know people, and even of getting to know myself.

Just Bloom Together_AEP-184.jpg

Emmaleigh Argonauta of Just Bloom Together

CONNECTING WITH PEOPLE IN A FUN AND AN EMPATHETIC WAY remains the common thread through every position I’ve held throughout my career. I worked for several healthcare industry non-profits as an EDUCATOR, ADVOCATE, OR EVENT COORDINATOR. For many years prior to entering the wedding industry, I worked as a SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELOR for people in recovery.

I planned and coordinated large and small events. I coordinated COMMUNITY AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS that resulted in hundreds of locals walking the streets of Downtown Asheville with TV, radio, and print media coverage. I also planned small retail slaes events utilizing only SOCIAL MEDIA and EMAIL MARKETING. While I never imagined I’d be interested in fashion as your stereotypical Asheville granola chick, it has been magical helping brides find their wedding gowns and style their wedding day ensembles for the past 5 years.

I discovered that my years in counseling, advocacy, and healthcare enabled me to be able to create a safe space very quickly for brides when working as a BRIDAL STYLIST. I recognized as an Assistant Director of a 400 patient clinic that all the ORGANIZING, SYSTEM CREATING, AND BEHIND THE SCENES ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT I had been doing throughout my career was vital to the running of any and all organizations.

Mary Farmer, Live Artist

Mary Farmer‘s work reflects that of an accomplished and seasoned artist; she chose the unique medium of encaustic painting to express herself artistically to the world. Her pieces explore a wide range of content, possibilities and personal history. Farmer concentrates on abstracted landscapes, topographies and soft landings. Each piece comes with its own story. She generously shares the inspirations for her work.

Farmer’s talent combined and dedication is reflected in her rising status in the encaustic community. Her work has been widely featured in the media both print and broadcast. Media outlets include: American Art Collector, Novato Advance, Peoria Star Journal,Marin Independent Journal, St. Clair News Aegis, Asheville Mountain Xpress, Asheville Citizen Times and Tucson public television.
